Travelling full-time can be stressful at times, organising transport, booking hotels and finding somewhere reputable and tasty to eat. All whilst trying to save money and budget accordingly. These apps have been lifesavers in making the planning and organising, as stress free and easy as possible.
Here are the top 5 travel apps we use daily whilst living full-time on the road.
1. HostelWorld
Hostelworld is a great app to find affordable accommodation. Hosting a wide variety of Hostels and hotels with rooms ranging from private rooms, whole villas to shared dormitory style rooms.
The prices vary and can be as little as £5 a room in some countries! Staying in a Hostelworld hostel you will meet great likeminded travellers and stay in some really cool places. It isn’t just a place to read reviews for restaurants and bars but also for reviews on hotels and activities too. TripAdvisor is a great research tool for your next trip, with over 490 million new visitors a month ,with such a huge platform you’re bound to find information, reviews, activities and booking platforms for your travel plans. From people you can trust, travellers just like you!
3. Google Translate
Going travelling is the best way to experience new cultures, food, environments, and most of all languages. Google translate is a great tool to help you translate anything quickly and easily. The app can translate photos, text, handwriting and speech in to over 100 languages. Google Translate is free and even has a speech function to hear how the translation is pronounced for the best delivery of the translation. We would be so lost without this app! It’s got us out of many sticky situations. When travelling it’s always best to try and speak the language of the country you are in. You will be more respected for giving it a go and most likely get more help. Don’t be that ignorant traveller and expect everyone to just speak english.

Revolut is an online banking app. Revolut allows you to make payments abroad and easily exchange currencies online – all from an app!
